The St. Peters Veterans Memorial Commission invites you to join us this Memorial Day for a day honoring our nation’s Armed Services members who gave their lives in the line of duty. This year’s Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial outside St. Peters City Hall on Monday, May 25, 2026. This event is free and open to the public.
Lt. Col. Rance Bryan will be the guest speaker for the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. Lt. Col. Bryan retired from the Missouri Air National Guard in 2020 after more than 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He served first as a registered nurse in the U.S. Navy and later as a nurse practitioner in the U.S. Air Force and the Missouri Air National Guard. Lt. Col. Bryan’s service included two deployments to Balad Air Base, Iraq. He later served as the chief nurse and deputy director of the Center for Sustainment and Trauma Readiness Skills at St. Louis University.
The St. Peters Veterans Memorial is located at One St. Peters Centre Boulevard. Please consider the weather conditions, as you will want to stay cool. Bring water to drink and a lawn chair so that you can remain comfortable and close to the ceremonies. In case of rain or extreme heat, the ceremony will move indoors to the Cultural Arts Centre banquet rooms. Any changes to the Memorial Day event would be posted on the City of St. Peters website, www.stpetersmo.net, and StPetersMO mobile app.
